Increasing your ‘Photo-IQ’ will help you take full control of your “photo-making” process. Through a series of discussions and hands-on exercises, this workshop will focus on both the creative & technical skills required to foster your own photographic vision and style.

This workshop is designed to help you understand and comprehend the world of digital photography.  Whether you are new to using a digital camera, or have been using it for awhile on "Auto", this hands-on class covers the fundamentals of camera operation.  My goal is to provide you with the confidence required to set you off on your own photographic journey... all while making it fun!

Topics discussed will include:

  • Camera features, controls, & functions
  • Aperture, Shutter, & Manual shooting modes
  • Understanding light & exposure
  • Basic composition techniques

Recommended Equipment:

  • Camera with Aperture / Shutter / Manual shooting modes
  • Charged battery for camera
  • Memory card
  • User manual for camera

While this course is tailored for those with 'removable lens' camera systems, many of the topics will carry over to advanced 'point & shoot' systems.
